MUNA Convention Set to Commence this Friday
The anticipation reaches its peak as the highly awaited MUNA Convention-23 is all set to kick off this upcoming Friday, bringing together the largest congregation of Bangladeshi Muslims. The Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia will play host to this grand event, with MUNA leaders confirming that preparations for the convention are nearing completion. Notably, the renowned Bangladeshi scholar, Dr. Mizanur Rahman Azhari, is scheduled to grace the convention with his presence. This official announcement was made during a press conference on Thursday by none other than MUNA President Harun or Rashid.
Scheduled from August 18 to 20 (Friday to Sunday), this year's MUNA Convention promises to be a transformative experience for attendees, centered around the theme 'Al-Qur'an Guidance for Humanity.' With a profound impact on Muslim life, particularly within Bangladeshi-American families, the convention seeks to delve into policy-oriented discussions featuring a lineup of distinguished global panelists. These discussions will span both English and Bengali languages, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility.
The list of eminent speakers includes Sheikh Omar Sulaiman, Imam Siraj Wahhaj, Harunur Rashid, Dunya Swaib, and Imam Shamse Ali, among others. These revered figures are poised to deliver insights, perspectives, and knowledge to an eager audience.
A highlight of the convention, as in previous years, will be the Quran and Nasheed competitions, demonstrating the attendees' devotion and talent. The MUNA Convention convener revealed to the Muslim News Network that the delegate count has already surpassed an impressive 20,000 registrations.
